I do think generally though, both sides exaggerate what the other is doing.

I think some women definitely get bothered by the whole gay men & white women taking all the good men.

I do think some gay men feel like its a competition with black women, especially if they feel like Black women generally direct hate towards them.

I think it boils down to the pressure of women still feeling like they have to compete for a man's affection and gay men buy into that too, especially the ones who are more "feminine" oriented. The gender binary fucks shit up.

I wish I could meet the millions of black men that are turning gay since gays and lesbians outnumber straight like so many in the black community believe.

I've always been told not to trust many women. The main ones that be here for you, using the lingo, getting the tea ain't really here for u. I learned that when the same sex marriage law was passed, and one of my homegirls from college when on a facebook rant about how demonic it is and disgusted she was by the thought of same sex marriage, when she was one of the first people I came out in college and she was holding my hand encouraging me to be who I was.

I can agree with your last sentence, but it's not all gay men who are trying to compete just like all black women aren't mad at gay men. Definitely a good number of them though.

I feel like Black women are more annoyed by women of other races (specifically white) "stealing" the black men from them. Never really hear black women talk about gays negatively except for the whole "they wanna be me!!" Thing. I don't think black women find gays a threat when it comes to them stealing their man.

But I don't think we are "stealing" anything from them.
