Another legend has joined the lineup for VH1's forthcoming VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night. Grammy Award-winning singer and visionary artist Chaka Khan joins previously announced divas Mariah Carey, Patti LaBelle and Teyana Taylor for the star-studded event, taking place next month.

Khan has reveled in a career that spans over 40 years since her debut back in the 1970s, unleashing classics like 1984's "I Feel for You," which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and 1987's "I'm Every Woman."

?I am absolutely thrilled to be involved with another VH1 Divas event,? Khan said in a statement. ?My past experiences have been so enjoyable, and I?m sure this year?s festive flair will make the evening particularly special.?

Chaka Khan's no rookie to the VH1 event: The network previously tapped her to perform at 1999's VH1 Divas Live, 2003's VH1 Divas Duets and 2011's VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul.

The VH1 Divas: Unsilent Night special will air Monday, Dec. 5, at 9 p.m. on VH1.

This show sounds so terrible to me now. Im waiting on an interesting more CURRENT singer to be announced.

This is the problem with these types of "shows" everyone wants to live in the past instead of moving forward.

I said a singer. Id even settle for a Mary J Blige at this point. this sounds a dated fool. Dionne Warwick will be announced next
