• They are neither artistically edgy enough to pull a nice Critic's Best Choice/Sound of BBC Frank Ocean type R&B sounds that will get them praised. They should be cooing over some edgy and dark ass trap instrumentals and not these kelly rowland 2008 leftovers



• This is also why them using "nigga" is weird. If they are going the "nigga" route, either your music and image must be very ghetto/K. Michelle-ish or you give a raw, real edgy tea from the streets. You can't be wholesome and corny and still say "nigga". The word only works if ya real hood or really artistic or both.



• Nor are they pop enough. GRL, 5H, Little Mix & them were/are giving microwave radio pop with no damn cursing in their songs. Songs that are catchy and not too riffy. No white/Mexican girl in the group means no pop edge either.
