I have voluntarily kept all of my ancestry posts/research in one thread.
I love documenting my progress, and there are people who watch it and actually get something out of it for themselves (such as those who were inspired to take the Ancestry test after seeing my interest.)

but I don't want it to spam the board.

since we're speaking of it in here though , here's my most recent discovery.
strong evidence supporting my guess that the unusually strong South/East African and Mediterranean (Iberian) influence  in my DNA is coming from dad's side.

So I backtracked to a message I received from someone from my Dad's side of the family from a match thru DNA.

She reached out, but I originally kind of paid her message a lil dust (as evidenced in the gap between response) 

She definitely is family; she matched thru DNA and knew our last name and where my family is from.
Her great grandmother is a Dris'.

And sure enough, two of her MAIN ancestral regions are SE Africa Bantu and the Iberian Peninsula. 

More evidence that this is coming from his side as I guessed it was.
I'm having him tested for the New Year, whether he likes it or not.
