And Ive been pleasantly surprised! I really like it, lol
being BET and all, I had a bad idea about it, but it proved me wrong, the show is really well done, its a romantic comedy that plays as a parody at the same time of the latin soap operas, so that makes this show a winner, to me. The show knows very well what it is, it doesnt take itself seriously, but tell the story in a very nice way, making you root for all the characters, actually.
I mean, all the characters are well written, and most importantly, all have soul, all feel human, the granma is awesome, seeing her speaking in her true language is a win, the mother, with her dream to be a singer is another winner, then Jane herself is really nice, and adorable, her boyfriend is so cute and its not the typical perfect good guy, he has his grey side, then the soap opera actor, he's the parody itself, lol, I like his subplots with both Jane and her mother...
anyway, I couldnt stop watching episodes day after day since last week
