The Power of Three is returning to the small screen as Variety today reveals that a Charmed reboot is in the works at The CW. Jane the Virgin creator Jennie Urman is developing the new take. While details are few, the trade notes that the Charmed reboot is set in 1976. Whether or not the new series will have any continuity with the previous show remains to be seen, but it might very well be that the new Charmed will serve as a prequel. After all, J.K. Rowling?s Wizarding World employed a similar tactic with the recent Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, bringing in more than $777 million at the worldwide box office.
