But as an artist, a brown artist, I'm starting to realize just how WHITE the entertainment industry is.
Sure, you see brown and black actors and musicians and writers, but the people pulling the strings are all WHITE.
I have a white agent, all the publishing houses are full of white editors.
This white female editor told my agent, with regards to one of my stories, that she could "totally relate" to it because her childhood friend was Indian. Then she proceeded to criticize it and say what she thought I should have done differently.

Just cause you were friends with the local Sunita Subramaniam doesn't mean you can relate to my shit. You are WHITE, bitch. And "some things are just for us."
