In the small niche and as far as industry respect yeah longevity and a nice catalogue>>>

But as far as being broadly known and acknowledged worldwide one or two MEGA hits is enough and you are set. Cyndi only needed her two or three big hits to solidify herself even if Paula might have outsold her or had more number ones, but her only song that kinda remained is "Straight Up".

thats not the case with Khia or Oleta though
The fact that Khia had to be a contestant on Ms Rap Supreme
and Yoyo didn't even know her kinda shows how widely recognized she is
Oleta only charted 2 times in her career
Paula and Trina, Cyndi etc made names for themselves and continued to at least chart with lesser known songs based on just building fan bases
