y'all need to be real careful about the word tradition. once upon a time, it was tradition in this country for black folks to not have the right to vote or to be regularly harassed by klansmen. I wouldn't be so quick to stand behind something just because it's been that way for a while.

Two totally different experiences love. When gays are being told they're 1/3 of a person, forced into service for free,  and being tied to cars and being dragged for blocks then we can compare. Protesting comfortably with your lemonade in your hand is not the same as being bitten by dogs and sprayed with hoses and told you can't be equally educated because of something you were born with. I don't know if being born gay is something you're born with. Your gayness could be due to your upbringing, sexual molestation, etc. I know I was born black. There's no denying that.

Seriously marriage as we know it is prehistoric. We're making history. This is a revolutionary time for us. Why do we want an old ass word associated with straightness? Let 'em have that shit. Anyway, the good book says I is married when I lays with someone.

tradition isn't really a word that any american needs to be holding on to given this country's own history and former ideas of what's "traditional" and "right".

Well that's very unfortunate. Do you ever feel conflicted being a "fag" yourself while upholding some of the "traditional" or conservative beliefs? The same beliefs that typically don't see it for your lifestyle?
