And if you we're a real fan and was really concerned about the movie then you would know it's based off the Comic of "old man Logan". Then you would've knew the outcome before the movie even dropped, ehich is why the decided to go this route since he said he didn't want to do the movies anymore. Theybare going through hell trying to give Gambit his own movie. As far as female characters they are mist likely scared to give them their own mess due to lack of support, that's why WW and Captain Marvel films being a success is so important.
