What I love about 'Martin' is that a lot of the comedy was in the moment. He improved so much of that shit and they just let the cameras roll. There are so many scenes where you can see the cast is trying not to laugh, or when you hear Tichina's loud ass cackle off camera

I never heard Tichina laughing  lol  Imma start listening for it.

But Gina is half way in the laughter in every other scene which makes it that much funnier

That show will forever be funny!   there are few sitcoms that are as funny ( now that im thinking maybe none)

Martin was comedic genius.

I think Fresh Prince had better writing, though.  They had a few drama-filled, serious episodes that Martin would have never been able to pull off, like when Will met his father.

That, and I think Martin was surrounded by a funnier cast.

Besides Will, no one else except maybe Carlton was actually funny.

On Martin, the whole main cast is funny.  And the show really had a neighborhood of recurring characters that were all funny and iconic:  all of Martin's characters, Ms. Geri, Bro Man, Hustle Man, Big Shirley, etc.
