All Martin did was scream and get rowdy.  Nothing about his persona was humorous. Thank God for TiChina. She saved Everybody Hates Chris too

but Tichina screamed and got rowdy too
most of the time they were going after each other
so I don't get this point

I think Fresh Prince had better writing, though.  They had a few drama-filled, serious episodes that Martin would have never been able to pull off, like when Will met his father.


That said, Martin was funnier and it never gets old, so >>>>>

there is actually a similar episode on Martin when Tommy's dad
came to town
there's dramatic scenes on Martin for sure

And also when Gina and Martin were going thru they're relationship shit. That will smith episode was iconic tho

TiChina's demeanor was hilarious, on top of her screaming and shouting. She's the better comedic actor. I didn't see Martin's use of comedic timing like... At all. If I'm wrong, post a clip or two and prove me wrong.

Will, Raven, and TiChina all are more gifted at making the audience uproar in kiis than Martin.

ig martin was more slapstick comedy, which I never find funny

Martin was 100000000x funnier, but Fresh Prince always had a message.  There were episodes when we all cried down.  Like when Will's dad didn't show up.

Overall, I will give it to Martin.

The last season was trash, but so was light skin Aunt Viv.

Certain small things on Martin make me scream, no matter how many times I see it or think about it.

Like how Martin was waking up from dreaming about Pam all night... he walks into his own kitchen groggily, and Bro Man is in there fixing a sandwich talking about he usually has the place to himself this time of night.
