I think Fresh Prince had better writing, though.  They had a few drama-filled, serious episodes that Martin would have never been able to pull off, like when Will met his father.

there's dramatic scenes on Martin for sure

And also when Gina and Martin were going thru they're relationship shit. That will smith episode was iconic tho

The only time it was dramatic to me was when Martin and Gina broke up, and when they got married.
