Hate to use the term of bullying. I never had a person who really intimidated me
I was raised to fear only God. I got teased a lot between like grades 3-6 but I definitely would try at least to defend myself throwing insults right back at anyone who tried it
after that from Jr high through high school, everyone was pretty nice

Uh yeah early childhood up until my teens.

I moved to MI when I was about 7, being the new kid everyone had it out for me. Plus I was gay, more fem, and I liked
weird" shit like anime, sorcery, video games etc.

Got jumped a few times in elementary and middle school. Appreciative of those moments because I learned to defend myself and I was able to initiate things when I felt someone disrespected me.

In my early teens tho I had to conform to what all the other dudes in my neighborhood and school were doing. Just for social survival in high school. I made friends who were my homies so there was no more getting jumped alone.

Only part I regret is I always felt like I lost a piece of who I was back then trying to be who everyone else felt I should be, which is why Im always proud of the odd things Im interested in now. Reminds me of who I use to be or who I really could have become had I not of bought into the hypermasculine shit to survive.

Faggot how dare you make this damn thead :'( :uhh:

Yes. From age 9 to 16
how did u overc' it?

To be honest, because of the way that I am now, people find it hard to believe that I was bullied. I was very awkward growing up and it was guys and girls teasing or taunting me as a kid and the guys would sometimes get physical and I would very intimidated by them. I became an outkast and I was a lonely child growing up. What people don't know is that the trauma of it all follows you forever.

I started fighting back in high school, but even then, the affects of it still lingered on. Like I hated walking through big crowds of people. It was a huge phobia of mine that I still battle with.

Even now, when you're on this board, y'all think that I'm just angry all the time, but it's not that. It's just that I'm so used to be taunted and teased in a malicious way, that sometimes that smallest things can be so BIG to me because I'm so used to being talked about in negative way for no reason. That's why I'll apologize in a minute because my temper is so short because of it.

So even though the bullying aspect of it is over, your mental process is forever damaged. Now I'm always sitting on ready. I'm always thinking I have to fight or that I have to cuss somebody or that I'm always on the defense.

Wow Scott thank you for the transparency. Only thing I'd say is it doesn't have to be "forever damaged" talking about it, processing it, and working towards how you want to present is always possible.
