Quote from: Vonc2002 on April 19, 2017, 09:09:18 PMIf u hear ciara at all its probably because it's CRUNK music and that aint start or stop with her.
then why were ppl saying Ci's career was revived when Body Party came
Just because it's the only decent song she'd released in YEARS.
but I thought you said Ciara was only successful with crunk music. Body Party, which ain't crunk, follows her signature grind time sound which started with successful songs like Promise and Ride.

I'm not pickin' up what you're puttin down.

I definitely think Ci's signature sound are songs like Goodies (That's Right, Gimme Dat, Got Me Good, I'm Out, Work, Sweat) Oh (High Price, Ride) and Promise (Never Ever, I Bet, Sorry, Body Party). 2008 fucked her up though once the label started making her copy the songs Chris Brown and Usher made #1 at the time (Go Girl and Never Ever)
The sound that she's attached to is crunk. Everything else has been her TRYING shit n failing.
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

QuoteThe video was inspired by Janet Jackson's "The Pleasure Principle" video, described as evoking Jackson's "impromptu solo dance rehearsal" during the video's mirror scenes.[2] Cassie stated "I'm a diehard Janet Jackson fan. A lot of people compare my video for "Me & U" to hers for "Pleasure Principle." "I was just rehearsing in the studio, they filmed me and the record label thought it would be great for the video. I'd love to emulate her career. She's incredible, from her moves to her voice."

"Goodies" & "Oh" are the only crunk songs she released  :plzstop:

"1,2 Step" is her biggest hit of all time and it's not following "trends"
yeah, what trend did 1, 2 Step follow Rihs? :plzstop:

I agree with this, but Ciara kinda goes up for that usher/cb techno shit the label supposedly "made" her record. She was saying FR was her favorite album for a while and i think recently she said jackie is her favorite album. :dead:

how were Promise or Body Party failures?

I'm sure vonc hasn't heard any of Ciara's music. Anybody who sits up and listens to Celine Dione is late and won't have an ear for anything that wasn't released after 1990.

the success of Ciara's Goodies prompted songs like Me n U to be published and pushed at radio. :ohwow: That cooing was revitalized by Ciara, but Janet of course is the one who started it all. It was Me and U, Do it To It, and some others that were all taking stabs at getting a piece of that Ciara success.

those girls mentioned were tryna get on at the same time as Ci, there's no possible way she could have inspired them or created a lane for them

if anything Tyra B created that lane TBH :dead:

Im honestly still hollering at ciara is an artist. That bitch has spent more than 90% of her career trying, flopping , and hopping from one thing to the next hoping it would work in her favor. Ya'll say any damn thing :kii:

is Ciara not allowed to like all kinds of music or should her musical tastes be reserved for the songs that made her popular?

how, when Tyra wasn't even remotely as successful? She didn't reach the people. "Goodies" did.

yeah I do believe that with every fiber in her being that she wants to be a Pop star and she did say that Jackie was the album she's always wanted to create but at the same time she always release her signature sounds mess first. Except on her 3rd.
