I think they could've left Kim Fields.  I liked the dynamic she brought to the show.

Sometimes, you have to develop someone for reality TV and let them get more comfortable with the cast & the cameras.

She was corny and out of place at first, but as time went on she was a good fit.
They needed someone with an IQ above 40 who actually had a legit career (besides Kandi and Porsha) with an actual husband and kids.

They're not going to keep showing footage of her activities at the funeral home, much like they don't show footage of Eileen on set of Y&R or LisaV at her restaurants. They only show events that assist a storyline.
