because I've gone through that myself
the whole pretending, not only did I have to hide being gay
I had to act a certain way that I in my mind thought I needed to act to be accepted
the whole masculine charade was too much to deal with
I didn't' like myself at all

finally one day I just said fuck it and I'm gonna be me and not be what others wanted me to be.

So where does this go when u step into the barbershop? If ur gonna do u regardless of what anyone thinks, id think ud be much more comfortable and confident in your skin when going into a barbershop

I'm confident in who I am
but that doesn't mean I still don't get uncomfortable in certain situations

especially in a barbershop full of hetero men bashing gays in front of me.
