I think the purpose of a pageant like this is to celebrate black beauty. But I guess crowning her kinda defeats the purpose that having black victors in beauty pageants are rare. Not everyone is a Kenya Moore. The winner kinda fits what the typical winner of a beauty pageant.

It's a double edged sword. The girls forced mixed people to be black but when they join in on black things the girls get upset and say they arent black enough.

so she's not pretending to be something she's not. she just took more after her non-black side of the family.

i get why people are upset but its kinda sad for her. cuz she's apparently not Black enough, nor would she ever be accepted as white. she's definitely one of those people that fall in between somewhere.
