Who is that a beauty standard to other than black people who are colorists? Of course pale skin is celebrated worldwide but the light skin dark skin debate is magnified by 10000000 within the black community.

Here's the thing. All of us if we were in attendance at this pageant wouldve been giving this chick the side eye, even a little bit. The reason for instituting a black only pageant is to highlight black beauty, not the typical European look that is normally the winner of pageants. The fact that the chick that looks the most like a Miss Universe won kinda defeats the purpose. They should just be done with pageants like these period and just have it be inclusive of everyone because of things like this. As soon as u attach a label to it, it becomes a problem.
