To me that's how you know you've made it in Hollywood as a none white actor. If a white actor could have gotten the role but you still got it. Only the top Black actors (Halle, Denzel, Zoe, Will, Michael etc.,) are truly able to get blind cast and even then it's not a guarantee
Book Bran for getting her role on I STILL KNOW, that was really meant for a white girl.
If Bran really pursed film, I think she'd book.
ssssss
But see Ralf
That statement is perception
And that's the issue
No shade, but lots of ppl including you and Michael PERCEIVE a role like Carla to be made for a white girl
And I'm sure if Carla had a kid and was ghetto ppl would say, "oh Brandy got that role! Made for a black guh!"
When in reality, I have a sister who is intelligent and a survivor. And LOTS of other black women embody that
To sum it up, it's the same as ppl telling educated blacks that they talk "white" or acting "white" when behaving with sense.
No shade, but I don't think you would understand why this mindset is frustrating
