Vcvvvvvvvv I still can't get over Tyra talking bout "Till this day, u still frighten me" girl, why admit THAT

She just knew she could play the white woman victim role and everyone would be like omg no! sssssdd girl

Naomi was already grown so she doesn't even remember it. Just another phone thrown

or because half of it was exaggerated and blown out of proportion

A lot of the newer black and non black models of today and back then have spoken fondly of Naomi and how she basically used to "mentor" them and actively speak out about discrimination whenever they weren't getting booked because of their colour.

I think the most sensible interpretation of "I'm still scared of her" would be that she still feels something negatively familiar whenever Naomi is in her presence - and if you couldn't sense that during their 2006 meeting, maybe we were watching two different episodes.

Fatima Siad, the one girl who's actually more successful than ALL them and didnt even win the show had some negative things to say about tyra and the show

There's a difference between competition existing, and people letting you know in your face that someone specific is coming for you.

They were the Brandy and Monica of the modeling industry. Yes, competition existed -- yes, Aaliyah was around as well doing her thing. Yes, Mya was there. But the media chose to put Brandy and Monica against one another because, although very different artistically, they seemed to occupy the same realm of notoriety and commercial success.

And, once you're made aware of your DIRECT competition, you can A) ignore it and keep doing your thing, B) team up for a lil duet or C) find the bitch and try to end her if you can.
