My mom decided to go ahead and make a will and do a power of attorney should she become incapacitated to make decisions. I am the youngest of 2. She decided to make me POA,  primary beneficiary of her policy and bank accts. There is second smaller policy with all our names on it

She and I discussed it and she feels my brother and dad aren't good at handling business. She knows I am firm and will do things the way she wants them done but they probably aren't going to see it that way.

I have a 300K policy for basic and accidental death.  I made my mom primary beneficiary and my brother secondary. Its sad to see families setting up gofundme accts

I know they gone want to know why but its not for them to understand why. My brother is a little upset she didn't tell him some thing's about her health condition rightfully so but she told me bc I went to every appointment with her.

Put them in a lil 10k or 20k policy. Depends on who you use its only 10 to 30 a month

My father never spoke about his mess personally but,

my great grandfather has a lot of land in Georgia
and honestly, I want it :stressed:

Just to make sure its preserved.
Now that I know so much about his family history it means even more to me to keep his legacy alive.
He was a well known entrepreneur, a leader in his community. But very kind hearted and giving at the same time - he used his resources to feed those who were hungry. If nothing else, I'm glad I inherited that spirit from him.

Does your grandfather has other siblings? If so they may want it

My granny recently died and the policy paper work didn't have any names on it so they assumed all 8 names where on it. The funeral director read the beneficiary off and it was my mom name only.  They been raising hell ever since. Granny keeping up mess from the grave  :kii:

LOONA.

Yeah, split evenly.

I really don't care to have any of their mess because I plan to travel alot. My brothers can have the house and the land. IDC.

my mom only told me about the house and that we can share it or sell it and split the profits ,

it's my great grandfather ,he's been gone.

the younger generations now have control..my father and his siblings have their names perched on there.

My dream is just to work out a deal eventually with everyone for me to purchase it. Down the line. Haven't talked to anyone about it .... it's usually the ones who are THIRSTY to inherit something .... who don't have anything of their own. I'd be OK if I don't inherit it, but it'd be awesome if I could.

Your dads portion can go to you or your mom
