People would automatically hear Blu and think he's of course talking about his daughter, but then the line wouldnt make sense. He spoke of "Blue" as a liability. "you risked that (soulmate) for Blue?

I remember there being rumors in the early 2000s of him and Blu Cantrell but I dont think it was confirmed or anything. But as Im googling, all the old articles mention her as "ex girlfriend" and in a song admitting infidelity, it would make sense

I really love how Jay supports Frank Ocean. This album should have came with a visual mess. First Hip Hop visual album mess but I love how honest it is. It's definitely reminiscent of his earlier work.
