she sang in the same key hun. She Adlibbed the part a little different from the original.. the songs stays in F# it doesn't modulate but she wasn't off key.. I think you just didn't like how she adlibbed/ approached the part.. which is fair but I think musically it made sense for her to start there Shy was already singing high and they were putting a feminine spin on it.
