Katie didn't come back because she wouldn't reveal some parts of her life Bravo wanted to film.  I think she was having legal or financial issues with that charity she started.

Yea, that's not true because by the end of the season katie was done with them and lashing in the episodes as well.  She was coming back, sumn just happened. That's why she was actually in the first episode or so when they went to her event
