WHy would you compare them instead of albums that came out the same year? 
Just take the L sweetie.

Because it would be comparing a PEAK to a PEAK.

there's no L to be taken.

If you wanna compare album to album in terms of musical quality and visuals, fine. Because both groups would have had the same access to the same producers/stylists/etc. of that era.

But to bring sales in is unfair.
