It must've really did a number on cissy when Dionne came out of nowhere and was lashing everyone 

Cissy just doesnt have a superstar voice tbh. She had a few lil minor hits tho and i loved her parts in "aint no way". Im SHAKING that even Cissy has more grammys than Diana ross tho

I do however feel like the subject matter was a bit skewed for a more "juicy" storyline.

Not saying the events aren't true but like it was mentioned in here--they skipped a whole era of her sobriety and getting back on her feet.
It's definitely a movie where a theme was kind of chosen and footage seemed to be filled around that.

It is definitely telling her family has nothing to do with this.

I agree that i couldve had some more on her life before relapse............or maybe she never fully cleaned up. They did say at one point that she was hurt thay bobby remarried and that sent her back into drugs. Iono why y'all would expect families to be involved with a documentary tho.  This is hardly ever the case. Go look at stories on kurt cobain, Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse, etc THIS is what documentaries are giving.  We're not so concerned about the good.  The story is what went wrong and why.  Those are the questions that most want answers for.

I don't think it's ever tasteful to out someone in public who hasn't identified as gay/bisexual. It's speculation, not fact.

But I can respect if you feel it's OK in some instances.

That didn't make any sense anyway. That is literally what documentaries do. Take real life accts from people that knew artists best and answer the questions that the public had, regardless of if the artist wanted the info revealed or not. They do the same thing every week on unsung. Unsung is a BIT nicer about it sometimes but yea.

Cissy never struck me as being "jealous" of Whitney though.  As stern as she comes across she always seemed genuinely happy and supportive of Whitney.  That part kinda had me like

Luckily this aired on Showtime so not too many people will see it. But how irresponsible of them. This is unprofessional trash - tabloid in video form.

It's not so much about Whitney's sexuality - it's about jumping to conclusions in her own documentary. Labeling her as bisexual.

I know plenty of gay or bisexual men who are not comfortable with people knowing their sexual identity - not their families or friends, or anyone.

To force it out there in any way is tacky. If random gay men can get ridiculed and bashed for outing other gay men, and called "messy queens", etc. - the producers of this documentary shouldn't get kiddy gloves either.

It's tabloid level content. But, there were other parts of the documentary that were touching. Especially at the very end.

And they didn't create the rumors, obviously Bobby Brown spoke on it, Oprah Winfrey asked and her dyke self is plastered all over her damn tours and projects.

And honestly they had alot of credible people involved, i was surprised by that.  Hair and makeup people, bckgrd singers and band members, record execs, security team, her damn sober coach, and even Bobby's damn sister. They definitely made sure they had credible people giving their accts
