That we're the ones who have encroached on much of this land...

We cut down/kill trees to build houses and offices...shoo away animals from their natural habitat to make ourselves more comfortable. Clog the skies with toxic smoke from factories..

So when these things (Houston) happen it kind of reminds us of how small we are in the grand scheme of things when it comes to nature. It's shocking - it's one thing we can't shoot down, cut down, oppress or ignore.

But I try to always remember how small I am in the bigger picture of the world - it instantly humbles me. To the Earth, I am just one of the little ants we see running around on a sidewalk.

But what's happening is still very unfortunate.
