whew!

Let me tell you about this song. I was 12/13 back in 2004 when Afrodisiac came out. Being from the UK i didnt really know anything about Brandy other than Moesha.

Shortly before the album came out some things happened to me and to cut a long story short, I felt like i was spiralling out of control and was suicidal. One day I saw the  Afrodisiac music video on tv and after that i decided to go outside. I went into a store (WH Smith for the British gorls) and could see an employee printing out labels and putting it on the Afrodisiac CD. It had recently come out, but for some reason one of the 10 or so copies had the wrong price. They were all over 10 pounds, but one was 0.99 (around 1.5 to 2 dollars).

It must have been a mistake, but I found the price really weird. I went around the store a few times but kept looking at this CD. I had no intention of buying it and as I said no clue about Brandys music, but I bought it.

Walking home I kept looking at the price and the track listing. Something about "Finally" really struck out to me, and I put the cd into the player, got my headphones and went straight to Finally.

I can still remember the feeling. I felt like I had been reawakened to some new level. The lyrics meant so much to me, and I felt every single word. After that day I never looked back and got the help I needed.

That album was divine timing. I am eternally grateful for that album and it was the beginning of a long journey discovering Brandy and her music.

I would love to be able to thank her personally one day. I have no idea what would have happened to me if the employee hadn't put the wrong price on that CD that day.

Jesus fucking Christ :stressed:

This is the most beautiful thing.

Do you see how God works, and how God uses Brandy?

My Lord!

The thing with Brandy is that you can't really compare her albums to each other. They all have different themes/sounds. None of her albums sound alike IMO.

It's like a different singer on each album.

I wish she'd perform more of her catalog. She has so many great songs to choose from, but from what she says about her music, it seems she doesn't like many of her songs or she's intimidated by the vocals.
