It just seems kind of intrusive at times. Anyone can waltz in and claim space at the table with women, have their voice heard above everyone else's and demand that their need be embraced at the expense of biological women be met all because they "identify as a woman". And if anyone dares to question anything about it, they're hit with the transphobe label.

ssssddd I see this side as well, but it's really just about inclusion. I just don't see this really being a hindrance or inconvenience to women overall, other than "ok, now y'all have to share this space and bathroom". I could be dead wrong and missing the big picture though, I admit that.

I definitely have ambivalent feelings about the trans women vs bio women thing.

I just have to be mindful that I am a man, I should not tell a woman how she should feel about a male born person transitioning and now sort of co-opting her lifelong experience. Plus it just perpetuates the patriarchal standards that are already a factor in the oppression of women.

I really wish trans men were as prevalent as trans women are, just to see how men would handle these convos and practices .

I am angry that as a woman who has constantly had to be careful of my language and behavior around men to ensure my own safety, I am now being forced to police my language even more, around and for trans women who had entirely different experiences and anatomy.

and I agree'd with Charizard. My friends took issue with that but to be completely honest. The erasure of that whole "Trans" piece is harmful imo. You're not honoring your entire journey to get to a place to be a trans individual. You're pretty much condensing your unique experience for the sake of taxonomy. Yes, you're a woman now but honor the entire process and the journey to get to that place.

It erases the experience and tells other young folks who struggle with their identities that it isn't important imo.
