Is it just me or does it seem like White pop artists are slowly losing the impact they once had on the charts, while ppl of color are on the rise?
Like Katy flopped, Taylor is doing ok, but she was only #1 a couple weeks sandwiched between Despacito having the longest stay at #1 ever, and now Cardi another Hispanic/Black artist is about to dethrone her
and the male Adele Sam Smith probably isn't even gonna make top 3

and is it a coincidence that it's Hispanics (who Trump wants out of here especially Mexicans) that are the biggest competition right now?

Onika

It's about damn time :dead: Seeing these mediocre crackers at the top of the charts all the time is so damn annoying
Nicki & Cardi searching for Remy's top 10 hit:

TAYLOR was never going to be number one for 20 weeks. Most of her songs do a 2 week mess out.

Let see how her album does.

Katy has had several flop singles leading up to that album and the album is horrible.

Sam isn't Adele and has never had a US number 1 single. Let's see how the alberm does.

Let's see what pink does too. Even tho she's never been a huge album seller in the US outside of her sophomore

and I feel like the fact that a large number of their fans are probably republican Trump supporters is hurting them

ggggggggggggggggggggg
:ummwhat:

Kurama

I think it definitely can be a factor.

It also speaks to how some artists who relied on niche or gimmicky strategies cant really come up with a new thing.

No

Taylor will do a 2 mill 1st week

There aren't that many BIG white artists releasing right now

SouravMay

I read a lengthy article trying to argue exactly that.

Like wasn't Katy a big Hilary supporter?
I know them conservative Kate Hudson fans were not feeling that

CHOKE

Katy took herself out tbh

The image change, dyke haircut and political mess was her downfall

🦚

Katy was flopping before her fake Hillary support.

Everything after dark horse flopped and prism didn't even sell that much.
