White people are always "late to the party" when it comes to anything non-White but they're ultimately the ones getting Cardi where ya'll want to see her next week.

yea ...  this is where we disagree.  i just dont think this is true, and if i thought so i would have no problem saying so because no
matter what i wanted her to go number 1 and im loving it LMAO

i just think this is that rare cast where a shit ton of people of color are banding together and supporting a girl that
literally came from nothing. the support from her own people is staggering and unprecedented for sure

We can get rid of this "people of color coming together" narrative. Not when Nicki's being thrown under the bus and she's a Black woman.
Cardi is a NEW face from humble beginnings who had a completely different introduction to the world

people are sick of Nickis shit for a myriad of reasons so think of another example please  :dead: save THAT, cuz nowhere did i
say people of color were supporting just because. There are multiple factors

Hope that was crystal clear or whatever you be saying

It's just not real.

I want to have a real discussion. Real is - people don't like Nicki and are happy to see someone "taking her spot". Real is - these beautiful people of color are fostering an environment of competition between two women of color. Real is - White support ultimately decides who gets a Hot 100 #1 hit. Real is - White support is what decides who gets MANY of the accolades that are upheld: including Grammys, VMAs and other mess. That's how its always been . Create something they like or stick to and be happy with a nigger chart somewhere.

That's real. All this other mess is beating around the bush. I'm sorry.
there are exceptions to every rule and norm. Cardi is a special case IMO

If Nicki comes off as a hateful, spiteful, petty and insecure bitch then yes people will absolutely come out in droves
to support a bitch like Cardi. not really seeing the problem LOL

Nicki isnt some meek and mild poor girl that im about to feel bad for. I hope she feels like absolute shit and people rub it in her face
this coming monday or the next. Hope that was real enough
:letsmessfag:

love you

Yeah that was real. You showcased your disdain for NIcki and let go of that tired "people of color coming together" mess.
Its both, actually. thats possible you know

its why shes about to be number 1 lol

White people do not have precedent over ALL Grammys.  Sorry, they just don't.  Lalah Hathaway is not sweeping the R&B categories, because of white people.  Please learn that GRAMMYs have boards & chapters.  And a lot of them are predominately black.  The Rap and R&B chapters & committees are mostly black.

It's only when we get to talking about General categories like Best New Artist, Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year & Song Of The Year where white support really comes into play.

Again, you're just throwing stuff out without FACTS.

And none of this has anything to do with Cardi, because she ain't even Grammy nominated.

Next caller!

Pop radio stations cover a lot more people than urban ones

Just throwing that out there

And this forced narrative that people just want to see someone take Nicki's spot is hilarious.  Because guess what?  Even with Cardi at #1, Nicki is guaranteed to still be around making 100 features per hour.  As they all flop and miss. Cardi already said she ain't worried about Nicki or trying to be the Queen.  And Nicki clearly ain't stopping Cardi at all.  She is not a threat.

n

People talk shit about Nicki because she has a nasty attitude and her music this year has been garbage.

All this talk about REAL.  That's as real as it gets.

come to bed babe

The way I wanna just CUDDLE and listen to "BODAK" on repeat on 3 streaming platforms at once.

XXX.

The song was Top 3 on the Hot 100 before the song was even Top 50 and at 1 million listeners at Pop radio.

Tears

Right now, the song has 6 million in audience while sitting at #39 on Pop.  That's a low ass audience.  Meanwhile, 40 million people are listening to "BODAK" at #1 on Urban.

Again, next caller!

Well really I was referring to the notion that pop is important because they're white

It's mostly because pop station usually have a daily audience of a million

Well, the decent ones

It's just necessary in this digital climate to get to a certain place

10 years ago you didn't need the shit if you had urban and rhythmic

So it is impressive that Cardi has gotten this high without its support

GRAND

Omg I'm getting sucked into this cardi mess

Lemme leave :diddraispoot:
