Hey boo!

Going to be 100% real with you -

To be honest I don't think there is such a thing as a low cost LGBT friendly Black neighborhood. Because low cost Black neighborhoods are generally known as "the hood". There are many areas available which are openly welcoming to gays but they tend to be more expensive. You may have to compromise just a bit on what you guys are looking for.

I hear what you're saying  but we're not doing the Hood ever again. We left that with our parents and their Jesus lol. What I mean by low cost is not LA prices at least 1000 for a 3-4 bedroom like the Mid west, not equal housing opportunities, eek lol

LGBT Friendly is kind of an oxymoron.

Most major cities have an area or areas that are dedicated to the gays.  But outside of that, the gors can get ran up on anywhere.  Even in Atlanta.

Chicago and Philly are affordable cities with a cute gay population and lots of gay spots.  But "affordable" depends on your budget.  I have a friend who just left the city talking about "It's too expensive", but it's working out just fine for me.

So, IDK.

We're coming from Los Angeles CA, We're looking for something similar We need a liberal/democratic  state, not LGBT discrimination laws and not to many hate crimes on their record, and a decent amount of Black, or Pan African LGBT people.California and LA are the most expense, anything cheaper would be great!

  :stressed:
True, There not all open to Black LGBT and it's mostly gentrified  :-/  ^o)

Onika

No shade but why does it have to be "LGBT friendly for blacks"? I've never heard of a LGBT safe space for blacks. Isn't that a bit too specific?

Honestly, just find a place in a gay neighbourhood and you should be fine.

True and that's kind of the issue here    :-/  it's too many white privileged/ focused LGBT neighborhoods and not enough black communities that aren't hoods or religion based. Most we've seen so far are white privileged and gentrified. I know we may not find the perfect or exact area we're looking for but, We can get pretty close. We really just want to avoid bs and Non sense and not pay 1600 for a 1 bedroom.
