Well after they did their time though
why can?t the family throw them a barbecue?

For shooting, raping and stabbing people?
dont people usually get LIFE or whatever for those types of crimes?

No

A couple years at the most unless the victim dies.

well if the victim survives
and the culprit went to jail what else do you want?
Justice was served
:dead:
Should any criminal be disowned forever by the people who love them?

How does not throwing a bbq for a convict coming out of jail for some bullshit they had no business doing in the first place equate to a family disowning them?

If my brother shot and stabbed someone I wouldn't throw him a party when he got out. He shouldn't have done it in the first place.

:ummwhat:

but what does throwing the barbecue, party or whatever have to do with what they did or whether they should have done it?
It?s not saying ?congrats for committing a crime!?
It?s saying congrats for being man enough to take the punishment for your crime, and now that it?s over we still love you, and are happy to see you again
:guys:

Not throwing parties for taking a punishment for a CRIME.

What happened to birthdays and graduation?

You gone throw Nicki Minaj brother a party too?

:ummwhat:
can you explain the issue with congratulating a person on
taking their punishment?
What?s the whole point of jail if you?re gonna still consider them a criminal afterwards?

I see what you're saying .

It can depend on the family, though. Some families are quick to distance themselves from relatives who they don't feel align with the "image" of their family.

Thankfully I never had to throw or attend any of these welcome home from the slammer BBQ's but I can see why families are happy to see their loved ones again.

Depends on the crime as well - some crimes are so horrific and disturbing that families feel they have no choice but to part ways.
but let?s be real, these parties are usually for the ones that sell drugs or robbed a bank or something
Murderers can?t even just go straight home like that anyway
and if they ever get out it?s normally 30 years later and they don?t even want a party because they aren?t even comfortable around a lot of people because jail has changed them so much
and even then people are very nervous around the ex con family member
hiding their wallets/purses etc

Because actions have consequences.

If you do something bad and get caught you're gonna be punished. Avoiding the punishment isn't optional. You don't have a choice.

If I steal my parent's car and get grounded for a month I'm not expecting a reward after I serve it just because I accepted and dealt with being grounded for a month.

And yes you'll always be a criminal after you get out. Um, it goes on your record....  :dead:

Yeah.

Black men are locked up for stupidest things - carrying an ounce of weed can land one in jail for a few months at a minimum so I definitely see why their families are happy to see them again - especially after being locked up for something so trivial or, even something they honestly didn't do.

But Drais isn't very smart so I'm not surprised he can't think far enough to see it that way.

Faggot I'm clearly not referring to any individual being falsely or wrongfully thrown in jail.

I know you're still wounded and breaking down from being lashed but try to retain what little common sense you have left. Following us around and hopping into our conversations is making you look pathetic.

:guys:

Because actions have consequences.

If you do something bad and get caught you're gonna be punished. Avoiding the punishment isn't optional. You don't have a choice.

If I steal my parent's car and get grounded for a month I'm not expecting a reward after I serve it just because I accepted and dealt with being grounded for a month.

And yes you'll always be a criminal after you get out. Um, it goes on your record....  :dead:

there definitely are many ways to avoid consequences for bad actions :dead: are you serious?
and if your parents gave you a party or gift or something after they grounded you it?s not a reward for that action
Just like getting a party isn?t a reward for a jail sentence
Do you think niggas are getting locked up thinking ?can?t wait for my party next year!? :plzstop:
It doesn?t even equate it?s just a nice little ?happy to see you again event?
Doesn?t mean they were ok for doing something wrong and after the party they still have to struggle to get back to a normal life
