Nicki Minaj's brother was just found guilty in his child rape trial ... a case that lasted nearly 3 weeks. 

The verdict for Jelani Maraj came in Thursday in Long Island ... he was found guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

He faces 25 years to life in prison. He'll be sentenced on December 14.

I was lowkey nervous he would get off, because one of the alternate jurors talked to the press and said he would have acquitted him due to what he felt was a lack of evidence.

He said he felt Jelani did something to the girl, but didn't think the prosecution had enough evidence for a conviction.  He did, however, say that he felt the defense's whole money extortion attempt was BS.
