Definitely true. Culturally irrelevant was the best way to describe this era. Commercially successful - sure, but no one truly cares or is moved by this music.

Her fans are the only ones she needs validation from
and if they like it, which it seems they do..thats all that matters

thats not necessarily tru most artists hope that with each releasea a certain kind of listener will take notice and want to buy

secondly being a fan is not the same as being a stan
