It?s not Cardi?s song though. She has no pull here. The only thing they could?ve done was pull her verse, that?s it.

That was actually my fault.  I typed what he said wrong  But I changed it after relistening.

Cardi was pissed at Atlantic, because they cleared the original record where I don't think she knew Nicki was even on it.  That's the thing with adding features.  I don't think either girl even knew about the other initially.  Nicki even admitted that on Twitter, but said she cleared it after they told her they wanted to put Cardi on it.  Originally, though... I think Cardi just cut a verse for Migos for Culture 2.  And Quavo was kinda messy combining both songs to make one.  Cardi didn't know either.

Akademiks is saying Atlantic reached out to Capitol saying "You guys cannot put this record out now that Nicki is on here dissing her!"  And that's why Atlantic wouldn't clear her Uzi verse which she also shared on Twitter.  Because Cardi pressed them about her.

So, Offset went to Capitol begging them to not put it out until they can get Nicki to change her mess.  And I honestly think both girls changed their verses.  Cardi responded to Nicki's original verse, and Nicki just made her's longer taking even more shots.   :kii:

The story honestly makes sense.  Especially Cardi breaking up with Offset.
yeah but I just don?t see Cardi having much label pull after one single.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

Please.  She definitely has pull.

It was Atlantic that was approaching female rappers asking them to take down Nicki Minaj.  They've been THIRSTY for a seat at the female rap table.  They need Cardi 100% on board.

Cardi is also the lead artist.

XXX.

This whole "lead artist" thing just seems like a bunch of egos from artists that didn't really want to work together in the first place.

Akademiks is about to get his hands on the record.  He was out in LA with someone who works closely with Migos.  And he's heard the original Nicki verse.

This whole situation was MESSY!  But explains so much.  Especially Cardi dumping Offset randomly.

CLIFF NOTES:

Quote-Nicki recorded 2 records with Quavo.  One of the records, now "MotorSport", Nicki disses Cardi and actually puts her name in it. Nicki name checks Cardi B on the record by saying  "I'm #1.  Bardi my b****.   She #2."   Then goes onto make subtle jabs at "someone".   Quavo turns it into a Migos record with a record they already did with Cardi and presents it to the record label as their first single.  The paperwork is drawn and it gets signed and cleared on Nicki's side and Atlantic.  But only cleared by Atlantic as a non-Nicki song.

-Offset lets Cardi hear the record and Cardi flips out.  She apparently was like, "#2?  This backhanded compliment!"  And basically goes to Atlantic threatening all kind of stuff if they put her Uzi record out.  Atlantic goes into panic mode and tells Migos they can't put the record out unless Nicki changes her verse.  And they wouldn't allow Nicki's remix with Uzi to drop.

-Cardi then mysteriously breaks up with Offset, because she feels betrayed by the whole situation.

-Offset did a lot of damage control behind the scenes and got Quavo to convince Nicki to change her verse by taking Cardi's name out.  Nicki agrees to re-write it and changes it from a 16 to a 24.  "Watch ya man!  You should watch ya mouth!  B*tches is PRESSED!"  :omf:
