there was an opportunity to pre order the album to gain early access to concert tickets.  So in reality 30,000 people ordered their album early...

Where's the problem? Even if the article is true.

Artist use other means to get fans to buy albums. Whether its dropping your price to 99 cent on black friday or everybody getting a copy of your album during a talk show tapping. Samsung brought a million of Jayz album to package it with a phone. Hell, if Beyonce didnt come thru like a thief in the night with 100 videos her fate could have been different.

The fact that she even had the option to just START A LABEL is kind of a book in itself. Cause her peers and the others cant and wont do it.

And the album wasn't recorded until she signed with BMG so that other tea is false as well, but keep grasping for something

In a call just before the album was released, Jon Cohen, the Executive Vice President of Recorded Music at BMG was quick to say that working with Janet has been a blast, as she has been ?incredibly accessible? during the album-making process. Apparently Unbreakable didn?t take too long to write and record, as she only signed her contract with the company about a year ago, and it is already out on store shelves as of last Friday.
