I agree with the get a life sentiment with all the nonsense going on at home aint nobody waking up thinkin bout a damn ep

I am in support of brans 4 year breaks

And i love everything shes doing thus far

As far as the inbetween eras go i chalk that up to her "having fun" with her craft not everything song or new direction she takes has to be on an album or official nor does she have to share it its her personal shit if she wanted yall to have it yall would

Now scoot

Lewie D Im Caramel Bitches Ion Wanna hear Im Actin

BAPHOMET.

Not to be disrespectful.

But she needs to understand at this point in her career she doesnt have that luxury of being this Hush Hush about things music related. Its not helpful. Its hurtful. Its not building anticipation for the people outside of the Stan/fan community. She should be teasing shit every month or ever so many weeks. And these long breaks in between projects is kinda... disgusting. She needs to be pumping out an album at a max of 2 years. Finding up and coming directors who are amazing and not expensive to give her eras legs.

Its just really bizarre.  :overit:

First of all, Epic never dropped her :uhh: she had a one year/album deal as she usually does. She's never been dropped a day in her life and that's a fact
She definitely got dropped, that dyke Amanda Ghost was responsible for it, This was during the time Brandy was being Managed by Roc Nation and why Epic still owned her records, "Louboutins" being a prime example.

Crazy thing is, that's all it would take. Just an update and people would be happy. It's pretty sad to be honest. Song titles ...  lyrics

She doesn't realize how much people would go UP for just that? sad
ssssssss

Tbh ... I just realized .... ..... sis doesn't really care :dead:

I appreciate her being an actress and a ppl pleaser. But just say
" hey guys! Don't really care lolz!"

I'm just confused as to why Bran has had all these label "issues", if we wanna call them that

I guess I thought she'd have multi year solid relationships with these labels by now, she seems like that type.

I wish AFB was real because I REALLY want to know why not Sonja anymore
well she was great with Atlantic for years and years

The mistake was leaving.  And a lot of years have passed, but I think some of us forget that there are really only two labels and two eras since Afrodisiac :dead:  it's been a mess, but not as constant as it feels.
True, its been more Managment changes than anything though. Sonja, Benny Medina, Jimmy Henchman Rosemand, Sonja again, Roc Nation, Ryan, Jeff Robinson. It's hard to keep track but I'm sure I missed one

ddd what is this 'old school' mentality you guys are talking about

cause just about all the old school artists are consistent when it comes to releasing their music and talking about it

well yea, coming from the 90's doesn't mean everyone else is like that.  The mystique of being hush hush and all that, is definitely something SHE likes, unfortunately.

Something about that doesn't make sense, Brandy was getting ready to release another project with the label.  No artist is going to admit getting dropped though. I believe you when you said she told you that though.   Makes me think back to Kelly and Columbia dropping her, she admitted the truth months later
QuoteRowland also admits in the article that her former label Columbia Records dropped her and it was not a mutual split as the press release stated. ?In all honesty, they let me go. The records that I put out probably didn?t perform as well as maybe they wanted them to,? she reveals. ?We live in an industry where you?ve got to bring in money. You can?t be pushing out so much money and not bring anything back. I get it.?

Yea she def wasn't dropped.. people just like to assume that's what happened.. Yes she had behind the scenes issues but she still left on her own terms. it was never an "oh we need to release you from your contract" situation

Bentley!

I heard about how the Epic mess ended, which I don't entirely believe

Bit I think being "dropped" is a matter of perception in some cases
