This re-emergence of all these stories during GRAMMY season is hilarious. PEOPLE reporting stories yesterday from "sources". Jay doing sit down interviews..... His album has been out for almost 6 months. Why now?
He's playing it up to pick the conversation back up about 4:44 for GRAMMY voters.
On my Beyonce board, before I shut it down, I was cool with someone who was tight with Melina and Solange. He was trying to break into the business, and he provided me so much stuff over the years from rehearsal footage to all kinds of stuff I've never shared. I really owe him. He confirmed for me while "ElevatorGate" was still going on (when Solange was in NOLA not speaking to anyone post-fight) that week that it was about Rachel Roy. Solange and Rachel used to be close friends and fell out hard. Solange felt that Rachel was being disrespectful and flirty with Jay. And that Jay was being just as disrespectful. She didn't like their "energy" and she went off. It 100% was about that. Fast forward to Beyonce posting that prayer on her IG the day after (before TMZ even got their hands on their tape and broke the story)
^For her to post let's me know she was really going through something. Especially because she had no clue the footage would leak when she posted that.
.... and posting the random pictures in the Aaliyah shirt a few days later (Dame Dash's ex...Rachel always felt he loved Aaliyah more than her... it was shade!)....But he also confirmed to me that Jay didn't cheat with Rachel or anything. Solange just thought it was inappropriate and kinda hated Rachel at that point anyway. Also, Solange was really upset that people were painting this narrative of her being drunk. I guess she hadn't even drank much that night.
Also heard the move to LA had nothing to do with Blue's schooling. She left NYC to be close to her mother once Tina finally settled down with Richard. It was B's way of showing Jay she will leave him AND NYC like it's nothing. He followed her and moved his entire life to California. Imagine Jay-Z at almost 50 moving to Los Angeles by choice. Ha!
As far as the cheating and all that stuff... IDK. There's something there. We'll never know. I doubt Beyonce was just recording all these tracks about being cheated on and upset for nothing. I just don't think "cheating" is the only issue in their relationship. And judging from lyrics on 4:44, he seems scared she could leave him any day and that she's bored of him.
Which is probably true.
The rest? Who knows..... Relationships are complicated. It's easy to tell people what they should and shouldn't do. I'd need more info on a lot of things before I put my final stamp on it. They're too private and will manipulate the press to their advantage. They've almost got it down to a science. So, you almost never really know.
