That's not what this is about tho.
The fact that Cardi got that #1,
and the fact that Remy walked away with he award Nicki won every year for about a decade,
is proof that the doors are opening and people are making more room in their iTunes for other females
This has NOTHING to do with "Wake Me Up" being a hit or not
It's about the unity of females in the rap genre
Kim beefed with a lot of girls, but she still pulled them together for Ladies Night
Missy still had other female rappers on most of her albums, remixes, videos, etc.

I mean Iggy had a #1 and top 10 hits too
Missy had hits with J Cole and Katy
the point is Remy didnt change the game like shes saying and acting
girls have been out here before she got out like Romero named
and since after the BET awards its been kinda quiet out here for Rem tbh

People can't get beyond their hate/love for Remy or Nicki
The fact that people operate like they have to pick a side
Is proof that that's how this was set up for the past decade just about
This is NOT just about Nicki
It's about a void that was in the industry
There's a period when you have Kim, Eve, Foxy, Missy, Da Brat, Trina, etc
And everybody ate and did their own thing
Then Nicki's reign started and it was like nobody else could get any shine,
Similar to how during Beyonce's solo rise, every girl started being compared to Beyonce
Some say Iggy's reign was due to her skin color, who knows
Missy was featured on those hits, those weren't her songs featuring other artists

And if the rumors about Nicki sabotaging the other girls is true, then that may be why things were the way they were. If she did it to K Michelle over a man, I'm sure she'd do it to these other girls for accolades.
Other girls getting shine does not take away from Nicki's greatness.
But I'm tired of nobody being able to criticize her or her tactics. If you were a rapper before her and you say something, you're seen as a hating has been. If you're a new girl who says something bad about her, then you're seen as a hating never been.
