Moonlight was very TAME. It was meant to do what it was supposed to do for the black gay community by showing straights that we're just like them -- human. I got it and I like the movie a lot. But I'm tired of our coming of age stories being based around making straight people feel comfortable. CMBYN went there and didn't apologize for it. I'd like see a movie made like this with black men. It's 2017 and I'm sick of black men not being able to show affection towards each other without someone freaking out or screaming the white man's agenda to eradicate black people. Sick of it.

Sex scenes aside, the movie is very good. You should watch for the dad's speech if for nothing else. It was like one of the best monologues I've seen in a long ass time.
