MJ should be ashamed of himself

You know what, King was a creative genius but it's pretty obvious his colorism issues went beyond his own image. Not one of his surrogates were Black?

Not ONE?  :plzstop:

Gilgamesh.

What is the one with the Snapback supposed to be? Mexican?

ya rock muh world.

I wouldn't say Mike was a colorist. I never saw him putting down other people to uplift himself.

I just think he was severely insecure in his own Blackness. You have to remember that ultimately he was a little boy who was plucked from a mentally and physically abusive household/poor neighborhood, and given a bunch of money - more than he could probably count.

He wasn't grounded properly.

Colorism is a form of insecurity though. And just because he didn't go around calling Black people coon and tarbaby etc doesn't mean he didn't consider lighter skin/Eurocentric features more desirable. The fact that he changed himself to look like a white person and did his level best to to produce racially ambiguous children kinda attest to that.

I think colorism can ultimately stem from insecurity sometimes. But colorism is more so an act of discrimination.
There are plenty of colorists and racists out there who are completely confident in themselves. So I wouldn't say it's a form of insecurity itself.

Saying Mike was colorist would be saying that he was discriminative against people who were darker, etc.

I'd accept someone just saying he hated himself rather than saying he was colorist.

Now if he were caught making statements like , "I bleached because White is better", etc. Then I'd say he clearly knew what he was doing and wanted to make an offensive statement and belittle others in the process. That would be colorist/racist.

I don't even think he realized how far gone he was. His issues were that deeply rooted.

I see what Romero is saying.  It really doesn't help that he did his very best to squeeze every ounce of blk out.  I feel like even when Mike was befriending lil boys he even choose the white ones :dead:

There was Emannuel Lewis but eh, exception to the rule
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Right. It's not even about choosing to have biracial kids, it's about him choosing NOT to have any Black children. Love him but he was a mess :dead:

ya rock muh world.

Well if he didn't accept his own Blackness why would he seek out a Black surrogate? Why are we shocked
