Ultimately the album didn't do well.
Not saying he couldn't have continued with it, but he had valid reasons to press the pause button. sss
Numbers talk

QuoteDespite beating the expectations, the Last Train to Paris underperformed against Diddy's previous album, Press Play (2006), which debuted at number one, with 170,000 copies sold.[60] Thus far, it is Diddy's lowest charting album on this chart[62] as well as Dawn Richard's lowest charting Billboard 200 album, the others being with the group Danity Kane.[63] The album also debuted on the US Top Digital Albums at number 7[64] and the US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums at number 3.[65] It is also both Diddy's and Richard's lowest charting R&B/Hip-Hop album, thus far.[62][63] Last Train to Paris is Kalenna Harper's first appearance on any Billboard album chart.[66] As of May 8, 2011, the album has sold around 270,000 copies in the United States.[67]

This was the best thing Diddy ever did and he's a dummy for not keeping it.

he had ads and billboards everywhere promoting the mess and it flopped

they clearly budget behind this. this vidya alone

then they did like a remix EP too
Ummmm Those were free and given away.  A

but the point Afro was making was that money was SPENT

True.
The fact that they were given away for free puts even more bullets into profitability. ssssss

If he gave it away for free who cares how much it cost? Clearly he didn't since he gave it away for FREE! There was no point in u even bringing that up since IT WAS FREE :dead:
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Vonc I think he was adding on to my point of money being spent. ssss

Recording , engineering , etc. costs money. He has to pay his team at the end of the day.
So it was another project with a price tag most likely, albeit smaller.

Then there's more time invested as well.
Which ultimately is money too

clearly he does because it was for PROMO
:uhh:
basically he was trying to promote the group and its music by putting out a free mixtape
but when the album flopped and the era was over it was wasted money
given away for FREE

right
I mean in the GRAND SCHEME hes not hurting over it financially
but speaking on this project alone it kinda showed that Diddy Dirty Money wasn't lucrative
it was a loss of money

There was absolutely no point in bringing up a free mixtape in a conversation about profits. He clearly didn't plan on profiting from a free fckn release :dead:

And as I've said, he had moderate hits and some certed songs from this album. Something he DOESNT have now and diddy has definitely tried at music since then, so he would've been better off perfecting this and building on it because atleast people were somewhat interested. Diddy hasnt performed anywhere notable or had any music make a splash SINCE this so that's the point.  He could've tried a lil longer

Although there was clearly no plan to get coins from a free mixtape specifically, the ultimate goal with releasing free material like that is to generate buzz, which in turn would lead to profit. Maybe someone would pick it up for free and give the actual album a chance.

I'd say it would be different if he were giving out the actual album for free. The spin-off mixtape seems like an obvious move for support and promotion of the project overall.

Afro was talking about ads & billboards & stuff
promotion and exposure, does anyone expect to DIRECTLY profit from a billboard?
Its free to look at, just like its free to listen to a mixtape :uhh:
the point was that in the long run, this stuff was supposed to build the fanbase
and generate sales for the official release
Its not rocket science :kii:

leave kang alone. he just had a lil bit too much egg nog :woohoo:

Yea, all the people Diddy had to pay then, he has to pay now. Except now there's absolutely no interest in his music, the songs are going nowhere, and the videos are going unwatched. Even if it was about the coin and "numbers  matter" that's still a point for the dirty money crew  :dead:

I'm pretty sure if Diddy saw a huge return on the investment we would have seen more of DDM.

Based on the final album numbers and the project/group being axed...it's more than safe to assume he didn't see that.
