Kim Burrell has been slick tongued ever since I?ve known her. She?s just got a way with words, but the thing about her is that she is real and she is consistent. And behind the exterior which is the personality that she was born with, she is also genuine and sweet, loving and sensitive. I think that three things happened. One, she started getting more commercial success with her resurgence in her musical career and Pastoring as well as her making major cameos with more and more mainstream artists with extensive resumes and commercial success so she?s living in a more microscopic limelight... people want everyone to be politically correct, but that?s almost impossible these days. Even politicians are not politically correct now. Two, some people just don?t like her and were waiting for something major to blow her spot and now that it has happened, it has now caused a snowball effect. Thirdly, we are living in a day and time where everyone is offended by something.
At the end of the day, get over it. Life is too short... she said what she said and she?s standing by it. Move on with your life.
