Mother Of H&M Hoodie Model Responds To Backlash, Tells Us To 'Get Over It'

Black Twitter was definitely big mad about it happening in the first place, but the young model's own mother? Not so much, according to TOKO. It seems that the young boy's mother, Terry Mango, took to social media to show that she believed all of the commotion over the picture was an "unnecessary issue."

"Am the mum and this is one of hundreds of outfits my son has modeled ... stop crying wolf all the time, unnecessary issue here ... get over it," Mango wrote on Facebook.



Mango also assured those asking, "Where were that boy's parents?" that she had been to "all photoshoots."

Responding to someone who was disappointed in her response, she wrote, "I really don't understand but not coz am not choosing not to, but because it's not my way of thinking, sorry."

With this being said, Mango also wrote that she ultimately believes that "everyone is entitled to their opinion about this."

The backlash to the photo was swift, with several celebrities denouncing the brand for its choice to place the boy in the hoodie. Rapper G-Eazy became the latest start to break ties with the brand today, the Associated Press reports.

For its part, H&M has apologized, and promised to conduct an investigation into the matter.
