it makes sense that mess like this is popping up because black culture has become so fucking mainstream

but people need to know where to draw the line

its enough that i have to hear some of my coworkers using Ebonics for a kii. its annoying and offensive as fuck ...it gets under my skin..but i try to understand that they're not being malicious.

but this is just next level. do some homework before u release a book like this. but then again why would they care to do that...their little intended VEGAN audience definitely won't be up in arms about how left they went with this all.

That's why I say they could have done some homework.

I don't necessarily think they sat down one day like "lets offend black people and be blatantly racist! "

They're just kinda ignorant to it all.

And for your Vonc -

It's no one's place to tell others how they should feel about words that have been used to disparage Blacks for years.

That's what the H&M mom did - she said "I don't think like that". It's OK if you don't think like that, it's acceptable and fine with me if you don't see the issue with something or are even unaware of the connotation, but don't say other people have something wrong with them because they found something offensive. It's very reasonable  to be offended given the word's history in this country.
