B.) he?s representing a stereotype that most ppl on the islands don?t live or stand by.
It?s usually the latino?s that grew up in the US and mainly NY that don?t want to tick both boxes.

I can tell that shit doesn't go down like that where you live.

You were legit UPSET at some the tea that was being reported here .

I really do think it depends on where you live.

I think the mess in NY gets amplified by the way ppl live in their own community?s with their own kind only.
It so under the rug and passive in many case

Kinda like livingroom chat. I had a PR friend who told me a lot of nasty shit her father said around the house.

I'm listening to her but at the same time I'm like there's no way you can live in a household like you're describing and it not rub off on you in some way.

When people constantly ask you where you're from you begin to question it yourself.

gur

ya rock muh world.

Its the truth. I been told ya'll a couple years back that people assume I'm from an island.

It's my experience - up to you to accept that or not. Me no care.

There was a lil situation in the 4th grade LOLZ

So we were making small drawings of ourselves and we got to put clothes and decorate ourselves however we wanted to.

So mine was looking NICE, but the teacher pulled me into the hallway and was like, ?is there anything wrong with your picture??
:hmph:

I was like ... um no, it looks great!

Then she was like .... look at yours and then look at Lacy?s .... see anything??
:usuresis:

And I kinda got irritated cause I didn?t see it.
:stressed:

By basically she was like, maybe you should use some brown crayon and scribble some color inside your lines cause of your skin.

But I didn?t think I was white, I guess I just honestly didn?t see color in that instance. I knew I was a lil black boy.

That same week the lil white kids were making fun of my dark skin on the playground. So that?s why my mom stepped in

Mind you I grew up in a small town in OK, so I had a lot of racial awakenings early on :dead:

But I?m glad for them.
I still need to strangle Afro for exaggerating that mess! I?ll get you twinzy lolz.
Argh!!!  :fuming:
I gotcha. That's why it's so important to teach and pre-empt before an issue arises. You would think that a parent would let their child know their beauty and uniqueness in certain situations without causing alarm or upset. Are you the first child?

I see why Sle was offended though.

At the end of the day these people are on TV representing Latinos/Latinas

And ultimately lending a lot of credibility to some REPUTATIONS that some people of that heritage may not even be aware of.

It's common knowledge here in NYC but somewhere else they may be like WTF :usureuok:

This man is actually from the island of DR and took his time to SPECIFICALLY book some NYC latinos.

Like, he literally calls them out directly. :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:

Hmmm
Outside of the shade to Amara
isn?t this kinda true?

No it?s not.

Besides AA havethis mess where they want you to just be black. Only biracial they acknowledge is when 1 of the parents is pure 1st gen white.

Or when they want to say every cuban, pr and dr person is black when it?s evident that some are as white as snow

Even amara states she is black and Latino. Her mom is Latina and her dad is black.

Umm both her parents are Latino and both are black.
