I definitely felt a difference when I went down south - the tension. I couldn't understand why everyone was so pissed

NYC is the most diverse place in America and probably on Earth so you kinda are used to everyone blending in and tolerating one another and getting along.

Every race, every color. Every background.

You really have to be careful here and be aware of your surroundings ...whereas in a lot of other places its simply Black or White.

One thing that gets under my skin is the use of Ebonics/references to Black culture in the office for fun.

Maybe it's just me because there are other Black coworkers there who kii kii it up with them when they use it but I dunno, maybe they could be like under their laughter as well.

I'm not one to get outraged about every little thing but it feels like mockery to me. Ebonics are ultimately the result of a lack of education previous generations had in the Black community so to see someone else laughing and kii'in with it....fo sho! lmaooo HAHA!! never sits well with me.

I try to remember that Black culture is now the cool thing in mainstream mess but it is so fucking annoying and offensive.
