R&B is just not the "IT" thing right now.. if youre a true artist and youre not struggling for money, why would you let that stop you from releasing music. its kind of remedial for her to have that mindset.

It matters if your heart isn't isn't in the music that your actually making. It's not her fault that they are driven by something different than what she is driven by. IMO, she is able to think about it more level headed. I feel they are only thinking about it from a money/needing to work perspective because well....THEY NEED IT!!!

Exactly. Kandi has a lot of things going on. She has her businesses, now she's on Broadway, she has the reality TV show, she's booked. To be at that point in ur life and want to go back to recording an album (which they really wont make any money from), its kinda pointless. She's up for doing the tour because she's SMART. No one is checking for new Xscape music. How did those 2 songs do that they put out? Even on social media? NOTHING. Kandi is actually quite smart and is really not here for the bullshit.

Its the same reason why Victoria Beckham is never interested in a Spice Girls reunion.

I mean they seemed to have gotten along okay since the Xscape break up and just because they aren?t filthy rich doesn?t mean that they were dirt poor or anything. Tamika seems to be living a nice regular life outside of music.

Here, I don't think it was coming from a "feelin myself" kinda place (for once). She's at a place now where she wants full control of the music that she puts out there and her IMAGE. She knows that these girls aren't gonna agree with her musical ideas n directions and she knows she's not here for there's either, so lemme not waste my time or theirs.

That is not selfish.

There's nothing wrong with her reasonings or concerns. They are a 90s group and honestly nobody wants to hear no new music from them. Even at the concert, when Dream Killa came on, I heard a girl say, "Oh naw. Iono that song. They need get back to the old shit." That's ALL they wanna hear. Ain't nobody gonna buy the music from now and "Dream Killa" is the best song they have out right now cause them other songs are garbage.

It's best for them to just tour with the old shit, do the movie and continue on with their reality show. It was actually good, had steady ratings and most people wanted the season to be longer.

Not to mention, they've already stated that the group is solid. Tamika said in an interview that Xscape has more things coming up and Kandi will be back with them once her stint on Broadway is up. It isn't like their having many issues. ESPECIALLY Kandi and Tamika. They are thick as thieves now.
